Hi, I'm looking for all the advice I can get. I just recently started shooting again after a long break. Thanks in advance for your comments!

Eddie--I love the play of light across her arm and hair and the composition is great. Looks like you've still got it to me! Jen #144024

What an adorable child! !

Edward...In portraits, I always try to get their eyes (or eyelashes real sharp if looking down)...their eyes convey so much innocence. In your image, you've captured the innocence of the child..their essence...which I like. Use shallow depth of field also so that you get a soft look with children/babies. You don't want baby portraits too sharp(eyelashes are ok). I'm still trying to perfect it like you are! We're learning together! To my eye, it seems just a wee tad out of focus...though it looks great in the thumbnail. Maybe the scanner??? #144070

Thanks Jen and Dolores! I appreciate the compliments and the advice. I'll probably shoot some more this weekend and I will focus (no pun intended) on getting her eyes(lashes)sharper than the rest of the face and use a shallo DOF. That is a good target for my next few roles of film. :-) The photo is a little out of focus which really bums me out because I like how everything else came out. Thanks again! #144436
