As the Commonwealth games started today in Glasgow ...thought it was fitting to post this photo taken of
the Duke of Wellington statue by Italian artist Carlo Marochetti, which was erected in 1844.
Capping the statue with a traffic cone has become a traditional practice in the city..saw it on TV this morning
while watching the opening of the games...
