Description

No idea what kind of bug this is, but it was eating my Sunflowers, it's about the size of a quarter and looks kind of like a little Grass Hopper...Details and Close Up category. 07/12/14. Canon 60D.
50mm, F3.5, 1/50 sec.ISO 125,
UPDATE: Finally found an answer: It's a Greater Angle-wing Katydid nymph, Microcentrum rhombifolium. It's nearly full grown, probably has just one more molt to go before it will be an adult with big leaf-like wings.

Exif: F Number: 3.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/50 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 125, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 50.46 mm, Model: DiMAGE A1

Cool looking bug. Excellent capture. He blends in nicely with the leaf but you were able to get good separation in this image. #11084154
