In the wake of a lake

Description

The Simpson Desert had large rains in 2010, forming a lake at the base of Big Red. The water sat there for nearly 4 years, and the trees became water logged and died. In the wake of the lake drying up, green growth emerged to take its place.

It is amazing how nature can change the landscape and as a place dies out, nature can bring back the beauty in another way. Love that rich blue sky, the colors of the landscape, and even though dead, that tree still holds a beautiful look. Gorgeous work Debbie. #11078483

Beautiful capture, Debbie!! Nature can be hard, but she usually gives back down the road a bit! It is always fascinating to see the environment evolve again after a change such as this. #11081077
