Please Share My Umbrella

----
While "chasing" (he wasn't exactly speedy) a twenty-pound snapping turtle to the pond, I spotted this trio of what I believe to be Amanitas.
----
Something reminded me of the title song, "Bus Stop."
......
"Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella;
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows; Under my umbrella..."

I first encountered this gal/fellow on the driveway as I walked down the hill to collect the mail. Later I caught up with him/her as he/she scurried down the hill (not kidding), including leaping off the edge of the retaining wall to fall on his shell (legs flailing in the air) on the pavement below, and then RUNNING the rest of the way to the pond. Damn...no tadpoles, frogs, crayfish, or fish this summer! I gauged his weight at about 20 pounds. #1575391Terry Cervi June 05, 2014

Fantastic title, composition and details, Michelle! #11061028Val Feldman June 06, 2014
Excellent title for this mushroom trio (admire the way your mind makes these connections to the perfect title!)...wonderful details, color and textures...and love the photo of the snapper and really enjoyed your story to go along with it. I can just imagine! :) Perhaps, this is a little gal snapper and you caught her on her way back from laying her eggs...snappers (both sexes) usually spend most of their time in the water - unless it's egg laying time for the females. #11061143Anita Hogue June 06, 2014
