240 Panes

Description

This massive arched window, with 240 individual panes of glass, helps illuminate the main stairwell which connects the 2 levels of shop spaces at one end of a long, indoor, skylit retail arcade structure, built in the early 1920's, in Huntington, WV. The Huntington Arcade is currently being converted into a collection of 1-bedroom condos, and I was able to get inside for a few pictures during the construction. Another image, "View of Arcade", shows this window within the long expanse of the building.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.67, ExposureTime: 1/8 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 6D

PS -- here's a long view of the arcade -- in the distant background, you can see the upper part of the "240 Panes" arched window. #11059268
