Reflecting On Life

Description

If I Was A Ghost
I'd Reflect On All I Once Had
All I Was.
All I took For Granted.

All I Loved.
All I Once Appreciated.
For All My Life and All My Joys.
All My Sorrows.

Life Is Precious.
Life Is About Lessons.
Life is About Love, And Forgiveness.
Life is About Boundaries.
Life is About Respect.

Life Is About Living.
Life Is About Death.
Life is About Legacy.
Life Is About Eternity.

April 23, 2016 - About 1 1/2 Years Ago My Father In Law Had Been Put In Long Term Care.
He was on our minds day and night and there had been frequent visits with him during his 45 day hospital stay and then long term care. Seeing the countless faces of people in the hospital and care home has me really thinking about my own life. My own mortality. Why I am here and what is my purpose? Things I am deeply pondering in my life at the moment.

Have I Made A Difference In Others Lives In A Positive Way?

Lovely capture and prayers are with you #1572946

Pom, surely you know countless people have more comfort and joy in their lives because of you and all you've shared with us. Yes, you have definitely made a huge and positive difference in others' lives.
Now it's time to comfort you, as you and Dale cope with the sad circumstances of an elderly parent nearing the end of his life. I hope you know that people around the world will be praying for you and sending positive thoughts to give you strength at such a difficult time.
The statements you've made about Life are all so true, and your sharing them with us will have the "ripple in a pool" effect. Anyone who reads them will pause, however briefly, to consider his/her own mortality, and what contribution s/he has made to the world during this eye-blink of a lifespan. And some will change their lives for the better, because of you.`
So thank you, once again, my friend, for sharing your thoughts, and your beautiful image, with us.

Okay, now that you have completely depressed me, Wm...all I can say is that each new day is just that. NEW.

Never give upon NEW happenings, new people, new beginnings, and sweet memories getting sweeter.

And I do believe we all know each other for a reason. We are in this journey together. Such an odd thing this photo club has turned out to be. Some of my best friends are here. Right here. I consider you one of them.

I am proud to call you my friend...Even if it is highly possible you did not even stay connected to this thread. Ahahahahahahaha!

Thanks for sharing, Wm. And I am really happy to say that I might have 30 years left instead of only the 20 that you have! HeeHee... (GOT YOU BACK!)

!!!!!!!!! JUST JOKING !!!!!!!!!!

But what a great dream it was. :))))

Maybe you will have a "continuation" dream of that one, featuring your 53 grandchildren from all of those marriages???

You should see old Papa in the Extended Care Center now. (Dales Dad).

Seven women for every "one" man there.

He told me "I don't know who I was talking to, because I don't remember her name, but she told me I was a very good conversationalist. And then she said, "Not all the men here are you know!"...

He was pretty tickled about it...

So, see? Just when you think it's dulls-ville, things can look up! :D

GERMAN?! Where did that come from? Lol...My Brother and sister in law went to Germany and they said even "Good Morning" in German sounded like they were being scolded by them! :)))

Thank you Steve. :) I always enjoy your visits. I am glad you did what Mary said might happen! :)

Ah, memories... and reflections...what a year it's been since this thread began, Pom! And your poem is just as relevant today as when you posted it.
Thank you for your friendship, especially during that rough summer last year, when you and Dale had plenty to think about already!! You are such a gift to all who know you! #11465309

This is beautiful Laura. I think as we get older we think about our own mortality, but what will be will be I guess. You are gorgeous inside and out and even though I do not pop in much these days I think about you often. #11683416
