Description

A section detail from a large iron gate by blacksmith Thomas Bredlow. The gate's body features grooved vertical rails supporting vaguely art nouveau-style scrollwork (casting shadows onto the wood door behind), with detailed, stamped collars (the rings that join scrolls together) as well as bolt heads (the 2 pointy "buttons" seen at the bottom), plus a fantastic, dimensional butterfly's head head holding the gate's handle (complete with antennae, faceted eyes and coiled proboscis) over a lockbox plate featuring repoussé work of four flowers and five small garden insects.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 1.00, ExposureTime: 4/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 6D
