This was the most strange set up for a campfire.
It was in Jasper National Park and I guess the idea is that you put the wood in, lay both metal sides down and make coffee and pan fried food on one side and pancakes on the other?
We are used to huge round pits just for wood that have one side that has a grill.
Also the colored embers are actually minerals. You buy them in packages here to make a beautiful fire. They are not legal in the USA anymore because people were not careful with them and cooked food at the same time. I big No, no!
It's kind of like having a DDR show right there in the fire! :D
