I am back! Sorry it took so long. I had to help my friend get ready to sell a house in Wells, NV. Big project but now complete. I have lots of catching up to do as I have not even kept up on email. I will be catching up with the club over the next week or so.

This shot was taken for the challenge in January, which is how far I am behind. This was artificial light indoors with a small led flashlight used to light up the little glass ornament.

Guess what, I can't seem to type either! #10997290

This is very cool, Mike. Love the color pallet.

Not much to critique on an image like this other than perhaps selecting the sculptor and applying a 100% multiply blend to the background. Then apply a gradient mask starting at the bottom to about the top of the curly cue on the stem.

Those changes and perhaps a bit of high pass filtering would help separate the top from the background. #10997342

Very appealing image, Mike. I have no suggestions to make it better and like it as is. Dale has some good suggestions though. #10997409

Oh man, this would be a great candidate to blow up! #10997965

Thanks Kalena – you don’t ever have to apologize for typing to me as I am the worst.

Thanks Dale – as always appreciate the suggestions and here is the result which I like a lot.

Thank you Susan and as above here is Dale’s suggestions.

Oh Sherry would get you big time Jeff! She was not even very happy I took this out of the curio cabinet to photograph much less to say blow it up.

Nice details and lighting Mike..I think the edit works well.

I wasn't sure if Jeff's comment referred to making a large print or making it explode... #10998153

Sorry about the double image – surprised me too.

Thank you Tony – yup I am sure he meant the destructive type of blow up.

Thank you Beth – good to be back and I am so happy these projects are done. Now I can return to my lazy retired ways again.

Thanks Rita – I missed you all and the great photos. I need that exposure to make my creative juices flow.

Yes Mike, Dale's suggestions have achieved what he promised and I am glad you mentioned the 'double image' as I was wondering what I was missing as they looked identical.
An interesting lighting exercise well executed. #10998724
