This was created from a cropped, out-of-camera image and manipulated in PSE9 following an online Photoshop Elements tutorial by Darcy Willams using Topaz Simplify, Global settings and a bunch of fiddling with sliders. No pre-sets were used.

Peter, I really like this abstract! There is absolutely now snow involved. It has pretty bright colors and most of all there is some purple in it! #10994102

Dale Hardin March 05, 2014

I would love a shirt made from that material. #10994127

I will try to embroider one for you Dale! Can't wait to see you sachaying along some Hawaii beach with your straw hat, baggy shorts and hairy legs. Or is that next year's Phellos trip?

Thanks Beth. We call those tiny purple dudes "Hens Bits" but "She Who Shall Be Obeyed" calls them that and who is this humble servant to argue!

I love this abstract, Peter. The beautiful colors and designs make it enjoyable to study.

With your nod of approval, I bet Dale could borrow the design and apply it to a shirt in one of his selfies. I'm thinking particularly of the one with just a hint of a smile, as if he knows what you're thinking. What do you say, guys?

Dale Hardin March 06, 2014

I'm willing. How about sending a full size file to me Peter? #10994496

Peter W. Marks March 06, 2014

Tnanks very much Susan. Didn't we both know Dale wouldn't need much encouragement!!

How do I send a full-sized file Dale?

Interesting piece Peter..

I'm not sure if Dale's request is a critique or a compliment, but I could definitely see him sporting a shirt with that pattern.. #10994503

Dale Hardin March 06, 2014

Thanks for the pattern, Peter. #10994689

You guys are too funny! Love the shirt Dale!

Peter-this reminds me of stained glass. I like the colors and what you did with this. It is very interesting to look at. I think I see a tulip in there:) #10994723

Thank you for your self restraint Sir- I don't think I could have coped with the full baggy shorts and hairy knees thing! #10994752

Susan Williams March 06, 2014

This is hilarious, Dale!!

Jokes aside, wow, you did a great job! I love the shirt! A little shadow work around the collar on right and no one would ever guess you're wearing Peter's yard. Well, I guess no one would guess that's Peter's yard regardless, but hey...

Thanks for playing along. It worked out very well and gave me a hearty laugh, too! #10994756

Dale Hardin March 06, 2014

thanks Elaine. I like it too, and wish is were real.

Peter, you're an inspiration to me and I would never go "TOO FAR" by making shorts out of that material.

Susan, Thanks so much. I agree on the shadow and actually did try to add one but failed on the first attempt and decided not to pursue it further. I did however, create different orientation for the collar, yoke, face, lapel, etc for both the left and right sides. That's a lot of layers. #10994757

Love your shirt Dale!!! Peter, maybe you should start a design business on the side and gets lots of money for the beautiful designs!!! #10995076

Jeff E Jensen March 07, 2014

Now Peter, is this really how the scene looked???

I'm impressed that you are trying something new. Nice work!

If I did that Beth I would have to put my name on each design like our Jeff E Jensen does to stop folk copying them and I am just too modest for that.lol

Jeff, here is the original before PE9/ Topaz adjustments. The white patches are the concrete sidewalk leading up to our front door.

Great job, Peter.

If you're taking orders, Dale, I'll take one of the shirts too. #10995500
