Western Leather
Uploaded: January 15, 2014
This is a photo of the leather tooling on the stirrup fender of my western show saddle. The detail came through so nicely that I can see the grain in the leather and it shows the beautiful leather work of the artist.

I'm very impressed with the close ups everyone is posting. This is a beautifully tooled rendition, Kalena, and nicely captured. It does create a desire to hear more about your riding. Can you share some details? #1559806Peter W. Marks January 16, 2014
Kalena, I could never have got even close with guessing that this was leather. Beautiful work from a great artist I would say. One small mistake and there would be no erasing and starting over. I would very much like to see some images of the complete saddle and the stirrup guards. And yes, your image is showing even the minutest detail; excellent work! #10948460Kalena Randall January 16, 2014
Thanks Dale and Peter!Dale, I have been riding for almost twenty years. You know, typical girl that's horse crazy. I ride western pleasure and hunter under saddle mostly. I gave ridden endurance and done a little jumping. I don't do either of those much anymore because as I get older I find I don't bounce so well. I have a big 16 + hand Quarter hirse named Chaz. If I could keep him away from the camera long enough to get a good photo I'll post one. :-)
Peter, here's a photo that is another part of my saddle along with my bridle. #10948500

Beautiful!!! I'd love to see a picture of your horse too! Guess what? I ride too! Just started about 7 years ago. It's pretty hard to start as an adult, but I am getting there. We will have to get together for a ride sometime! #10950030
