Very emotional and beautiful image, SSSister.

You caught a scene so peaceful and at the same time joyful. And with a little sadness too.

There is also much love in this image and I love it very much.

Your DD work and framing give this such a nostalgic quality, Pom. Very touching moment in time...and that IS a great title! (50/50 shared with Jeff!) #10945020

Hi Everyone. No one can look more peaceful than my Father in law while sleeping. One day soon we realize he will just keep on sleeping and he will be gone to the next part of his eternal journey.

He has had a good life here and I am happy to say that I have been there for the past 20 + years of it. We have had many special occasions here at the house, (and in other Canadian homes in the area), and "Papa" has been to 95% of them. He grew up in the dirty 30's and has scrimped and saved and has not done much for himself or others his whole life so we have made up for it and showered him with all things he fashioned his life in deprivation over. At times it is overwhelming for him since he has always lived as if he was still in the great depression. His home looks like a junkyard. But that is the way he feels most secure and more power to him. "Only one life will soon be past", right?

Thanks everyone for your terrific comments and support!

Thank you Brother John and Mr Tree. :)

I remember Papa saying once that he always felt like he was a rich man because he "collected" things that no one else wanted. (We try not to use the word junk in front of him, but that is what most of it is. 7 lawn mowers that do not work, 4 stoves, 3 fridges, couches with holes, cars...oh the cars...All of it in the yards). He has quite an interesting array of "things" decorating his yards and life. He is a jack of many trades and parts things out and uses some of it and keeps the rest to feel RICH! Lol... We shared houses with him for 15 years here and OH I AM HAPPY to see him having a whole property there for himself now. (Wasn't I diplomatic the way I worded that?) Now we are all living the dream. :)))) And still live very close to each other!

Thanks for the visit!
