Pearl Harbor Survivor

Uploaded: December 10, 2013

Description

---
This is Alex Horanzy one of the two remaining Pearl Harbor Day survivors in the state of New Jersey.
----
Mr. Horanzy was the keynote speaker at this year's Pearl Harbor Day Commemoration ceremony aboard the Battleship USS New Jersey on December 6.
-----
The ceremony was conducted under a heavy tent on the rear deck of the ship. I had come prepared for an outdoor ceremony (as it had been for the last two years that I attended) and did not have a bright enough lens for dark conditions. However the digital noise seems to accentuate the sadness that Mr. Horanzy was surely remembering.

I wonder what thoughts were wandering through his mind at that exact moment
He seems entrenched in them.
Oblivious to his current surroundings.
