The Pearl Harbor Day commemorative service aboard the USS New Jersey had ended, and attending veterans were meeting and greeting as participants and attendees left the ship to return to their cars.

In this shot, William F. Mead, State Vocalist New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars, (whose hauntingly beautiful renditions of the National Anthem and "Bring Him Home" once again left no dry eyes in the audience) embraces a fellow veteran.
