Huge hornets nest the size of a basketball, 30ft up a sweet-gum tree and hanging over our patio.

Their nest is really beautiful but way to scary to have it that close to the house. Now that it's been below freezing are you going to knock it down. Not you but someone else? #10907689

Well, you really should have wacked it with a stick before taking this shot. The swarm of hornets would have turned this from an interesting image to a FANTASTIC image :o) #10907706

You are lucky it is that far up in the trees. I tried to sit in front of one this summer with the dogs and they made me leave the spot. We went back later and found out why!
I think if it is that high up, you need to shoot it out of the tree! #10907714
