Description

---
This happy crayfish and lots of others, and frogs, tadpoles, fish, etc. were all enjoying life in our natural pond until the Summer of 2012, when a ravenous Little Green Heron descended on it for two weeks. The pond has been nearly dead since then. It will take some time to return to being a balanced environment for pond life.

Sad to hear the story but its nature at work so I don't find any fault with the heron. Hope you can bring the pond back to life with some beautiful creatures like this. Love that post as it holds on to the stick. The colors and especially the details are exception and so beautiful Michelle. Fantastic look my friend. #10905412

It's amazing how much a heron can eat.
They are unwelcome visitors to anyone with a stocked or thriving pond. #10905520

A fantastic pov and what a cute little guy. So he's gone?? I hear Carolyn but when I see such a cute pic of one of the unfortunates, I do feel badly. #10905839

Great capture Michelle and sorry for the loss, but as only Mother Nature can do I'm sure it will bounce back better then ever, only time will tell. #10905906
