Art Glass

Fine art glass invariably gets my attention; I find the glass blower's craft to be fascinating and if I were to be a collector of ANYTHING, beautiful glass artistry would be it!
----
So I was very pleased that THIS photo assignment included photographing pieces from a personal collection in Philadelphia while covering a Red Cross event (Tenth anniversary of the Red Cross House).

The bokeh in the background are from the city lights, 45 stories below. The pent house apartment affords view of the city below from every room and from the wrap-around outdoor balcony.

What a special view they have, and you captured, with the sparkling art glass and sparkling city beyond. It's a pleasure too to watch such pieces being blown. I can't imagine being able to do such a thing. #10890720Jean Lechleiter November 04, 2013
