I was attempting to use the outside petals as an out of focus frame for the flower's center (as a blatant attempt to copy your technique from page 60 of your Fine Art Flower Photography book). Do the bright yellow petals make this a poor technique to use on this kind of flower? Should I have tried a flower with darker outside petals?
