Prince Rusty is so beautiful, Mare, and we can see he is already great competition for ADT! Royal Kitties are great at protecting the Castle! :D

I don't know who I am more happy for. You guys or Rusty. You both got blessed the day he became yours!

-Pom-a-reign-ien :D And that ain't no dog, little kitten! (HeeHee).

Thank you very much, Bobby, Tammy, Colette, Joy, Jo Ann, Nadia, and Pom, for your friendly comments. I appreciate them.

Jo Ann, don't tempt me where photos of Rusty are concerned. I have dozens of more detailed shots of him already. I could post one every day till Christmas!

Pom-a-reign-ien, "Prince Rusty" is SUCH a great name. In fact, I just heard him murmur(or maybe purr-purr):"It's about time SOMEBODY got it right!" (See photo.)
Thanks for the idea!

He is so beautiful, fantastic captures. #10866985

I was just thinking, I wonder if a new cat is on the scene yet, I'd better check!!! Ginger must be the in colour this year. Prince Rusty sure is handsome & very lucky to have found you & Scott. I wonder who has the most pictures you or me!!! Tony & I are so pleased for you all. Welcome Rusty=^..^= #10867088

Mary K. Robison October 10, 2013

Thanks, Marijana, Chris, and Patrick. I'm grateful for all your friendly comments.

Marijana, Rusty WILL be a tiger-sized adult, judging from the way he eats every 20 minutes or so! LOL!

Chris, Rusty has already brought us such joy in less than a week ~ he's a real blessing. As for photos, you may have had a head start with your baby Rango, but both Scott and I are snapping away at every cute thing Rusty does...so we could overtake you and Tony by Christmas! :) #10867284

October 10, 2013

I was so pleased for you & Scott when Chris told me about Rusty, he'll not take the place of Riley but will fill the void. And you just never know how many photos we'll all end up with! Great work on these photos. #10868026

Cindy Bendush level-classic October 10, 2013

Good news! I'm so happy for you :-)Watch for his teeth to fall out - you may find one. I have a small box of kitten teeth from each cat (don't ask me which is which though!) Toys, food bowl and close to where they nap are likely places. Maybe I'm just a little bit nutso - LOL...so glad Rusty and you have found each other :-) #10868095

Ujjwal Mukherjee October 10, 2013

Great to hear that,Mary...my best wishes for Rusty!!
You have captured a great moment here and I am sure this is just the beginning :-) #10868246

Kirsten Kiki Kjaer October 13, 2013

Well, congratulations to you all, Mary.

I clearly see his Egyptian legacy and I bet he is now as loved as the Egyption kitties were.
They were worshipped as gods (oh, right - you just said that. Well, that kinda makes it true, doesn't it? HEHE).

The first image shows him as already settled and ready to be crowned king of the castle.

The other image is so moving in many ways. And I can't get away from it.
What is he thinking? What is he seeing?
What are his dreams?

Or is he merely taking a view of his newfound kingdom.

Hard to tell what kitties are thinking. #10870301

Mary K. Robison October 14, 2013

Hi, Kiki. Probably what he's thinking about is, "Why are Mom and Dad calling me DannyBoy now? What's wrong with Rusty?"
Scott and I kept stumbling over the "R" because Riley and Rusty were too similar. After a couple days of pondering a new name, we finally agreed on Sundancer for his "formal" name, and DannyBoy for everyday use. It strikes me as rather Irish, but little Danny's eyes are a lovely pale green, so there you are! And he's still our Egyptian Prince!
Thanks for all your friendly words. :-D #10871195

Very nice capture of Rusty, who's obviously so curious about the surroundings. Lovely work here Mary. #10871976

Mary K. Robison October 15, 2013

Thanks for your friendly words tonight, Rey. So good to have you back at the bp site.
I posted an update on DannyBoy's name change just above your words. He seems pretty nonchalant about it. The main thing he cares about is eating --- five or six times a day! Good thing he runs it off by racing from one end of the house to the other, and jumping for feather toys. #10872216

Thomas E. Hinds November 10, 2013

Wonderful capture of your beautiful cat, Mary! I am a big fan of the felines (and just about every other creature). DannyBoy probably has already gotten use to his new name by now. I call my cat, whose name is Bootsie, so many other names and he knows it is all about him... names like Boo, Boo-Boo, Boobinsky and Boobinga. LOL! #10895122

Thanks for your kind and friendly comments, Tom and Pom. (Hey, you two would make a great singing duo!.. :-)
Tom, I have used "Boo" and "my little love muffin" many times in the past, and am keeping the tradition going with Danny. And he does recognize his name already.
Pom...what a cute emoticon! Someday I'll figure out how to cut-and-paste a similar smiley. I just tried to --- no luck! #10895878

Laura E. Swan level-classic November 11, 2013

Confession. I call Fangy "Boo-Boo" all the time. Why? I have no idea. It's not anywhere close to the name Fangy-Baby. Maybe Boo-Boo is like Baby?

The animations I use are from Photobucket.com Go take a peek. (Just click once on the dancing kitty up above). When you find a (smaller) image on that site in their search engine at the top right that you like (not big or you will stretch out the thread something awful at the seams back here at BP) you find the HTML code on the right of that page on photobucket and click it one. That copies it. Then come and right click your mouse to paste the CODE here in an empty comment box and there you are. Submit like you do a comment on BP and then come back and see it there, nice and pretty! :)))

P.S. If you try it and paste the HTML code here and want to write something as well, be sure you always leave a SPACE before you type or the codes wont work for the picture. It cant be too close to any typing that you do. You have to leave ONE space!!! The search engine is fun to use at the top right but it will not tolerate mis-spellings. :) RULE OF THUMB Don't use people PHOTOS you see there. They are usually too large.

Try typing in this:
Smiley Animation

1) See what comes up and click on one you like.

2) When it opens as an individual page then look to the right and down. Press on HTML. it will say "copied"

3) Bring that code back here and drop it here and submit it. :)

EASY! #10895905
