Standing tall

I loved that the grass had its own angle while the flowers had it own.

Yes, that makes this image very nicely unique. I also like the bluish hues to the trass as an uncommon color theme this type of image. How does the center of flower look to you at full size? At the reduced size I can't see any detail in a large portion of it, and I miss it. Some selective sharpening and raising the shadows might bring that detail out a little better.
there is also the bright pinpoint of light that probably should be cloned out. #1542677

Love the composition Rita, Rudbeckia and Blue oat grass make a stunning combination...would like to see some more of these! #10828702Susan Williams September 01, 2013
I really like the composition and the background, Rita. It seems a little soft, so I wonder if darkening the background just a little would make the flower stand out a little more, and I agree with Stephen that selective sharpening and coaxing more detail out of the center would help. #10828873Michael Kelly September 01, 2013
Very nice Rita! I like the diagonal grass in the BG and the overall color and BG are wonderful. Not sure the BG needs to be darker, but I do agree with Stephens suggestions. Would not mind seeing the darker BG to see what that would do. #10828908Rita K. Connell September 01, 2013
thanks everyone here is the suggestion I lighten the center of the flower a tad and took out pin light and sharpen and darken the edge a tad. #10829057Teresa H. Hunt September 01, 2013

Sorry I am late on this-the edit looks much improved. I can see more detail in this one. Very pretty! #10831970Peter W. Marks September 04, 2013
And I am even later, sorry Rita. It is the very different composition of this flower and grass image that really makes this. #10833062Rita K. Connell September 05, 2013
