I have used this caption for photos that I have posted in the past, portraying flowers in the throes of decline.

This is another one, that, like me, has developed a pleasing (smile) patina.

Also, this is another of the hundreds of lacy hydrangea blossoms, during the first year since 1995 unmolested by deer.
