Onyx's "Tattoo"

Onyx is about 3 years of age. He lives in urban Philadelphia. I see him playing outdoors several times each week. I have never seen him smile, though he cries often.

Along with several half-siblings and two foster children (he is the youngest), he is being raised by his single grandmother. The years ahead will not be easy for him.
