I shot this early this morning as part of a series of images for time lapse. By using the unique characteristics of the fisheye lens and pushing the horizon to the bottom of the frame, I got this incredibly flat landscape to curl up at the edges. I love the combination of the stars and the sunrise. Good stuff. #1535235

Keep experimenting Jeff. You're an inspiration, and congrats again on the Canon position. Very cool to see a sky that bright with stars. #10759675

Thanks, Dale and Deb!

Deb - you should check your messages. . .

By the way, Deb, if the plan is still the same, this is where we will camp while you are here. #10760189

Messages... right. I will get on that today! I know I have been WAY out of the loop for too long!

YES! Our plan is still the same. Does your new position give you the time though? I don't want to mess that up for you! #10760224

Nope, the new position doesn't mess things up. Really looking forward to your visit. #10760233

Thanks, everyone. I'll admit that the fisheye look isn't for everyone. Definitely makes for some unique images.

Elaine - those are the Sun Tunnels, near Lucin, UT. Here's another shot of them from a couple of hours later.

So, just in case you wondered, this is what ~225 sequential shots looks like when you stack them together. #10767494
