Great photo Brenda!
Love the black rocks and the lavender water which has a nice silky texture.

Thanks, Frank (you've been busy!)
I slowed my shutter down to 14 seconds on this image, so the water would gently surge against the rocks more than just one time during the exposure. That's what made the ethereal effect. The color was just from the sky reflecting, but it too blended with movement of the water to make a soft purple glow. #767958

Great shot Brenda.
Love the surreal lighting and the the sense of motion.
It's an honor to have one of my photos featured in PhotoFlash next to one of yours.

Thanks, Bob - yet you're no stranger to the value of including motion, either! I like your fishing picture. Great motion on the water and nice composition, too! #957275

Thanks, Jeffrey - pre-dawn light can be amazing with the soft hues of pinks and purples, but the long exposure really softened the water and blended the colors even more. #4365434
