What's Up, Doc?

Uploaded: May 22, 2013

Description

Chicago was the setting for TV's "The Bob Newhart Show," and Newhart is a native of the city. Visitors to the city's Navy Pier can have a chat with a bronze version of Newhart's character in the show, Dr. Bob Hartley. What he and my husband Jack discussed is a matter of doctor-patient confidentiality, but the good doctor did allow Jack to take his photo (and me to take both of them). Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Definitely a contender! Love the pose and the title, AND the execution of this photo. Very cool. Looks like the work of Seward Johnson (a local here). Or at least it was created in the same mode. #10702692

Thanks - and Michelle reminds me I was remiss in not tracking down the artist. The bronze work was created by Studio EIS, a three-dimensional design and sculpture studio in New York founded by brothers Ivan and Elliot Schwartz. #10702771

Would you believe that Bob Newhart is the reason that my brother became a psychologist! It's true! #10703317
