I love the simplicity of this scene Lisa and the negative space is the key.

I think it would be even better without the small hills in the background. It would enhance the feeling of isolation. #1527558

I really like the cropped version of this interesting scene, Lisa, and the patterns in the sand make it even moreso. I wonder if you looked at a horizontal flip to see if it makes a difference -- it doesn't always, but sometimes it makes a difference with images like this one, so I always try it. With flips, you know immediately if it's effective. Nice capture, nice work! #10688195

A spot of Blue is a great capture. I like that it is leaving a trail of dust. I actually like your original post best because it makes you feel the isolation better. Like can't go to the right because there is nothing there....!

I think I like the first one best because it gives you an idea of how much empty space is around the truck... That is a lot of empty flat space. Great shot! #10688776

My $0.02. This is one of those great "lost in the vastness" images. However the truck is a little too big in the image so the impact is diminished. I like the crop, but it may be that you need the top portion of the image to maximize the feeling of immense space, and need to crop the bottom to move the truck lower and away from the strong ROT point in order to reduce its "size" in the overall image.

Not just because it was my suggestion, but I really love the flip. Some say it's natural because we read left to right. This is one of those rare opportunities - a great find and capture, Lisa. If you have NIK Color Efex, you could play with the Graduated Neutral Density filter to make the terrain more dynamic, but that's just tinkering. I would keep any further edits very subtle. Cool capture! #10690384
