Hi everyone!

Sorry I've been so on and off for the past few months; after my trip I started working 46 hours a week and taking 3 university courses, but I finished all my final exams and have time again. Looking forward to seeing all the new photos :) #1526388

Hi Lisa! This just popped up while I was on the page :)

I love the effect on this image. It is really interesting :) I also really like the composition. It all works really well for me! #10677888

Glad you're back Lisa. Like the composition a lot, and the color pallet is very pleasing.

It is a bit soft focus wise though, especially in the background. #10678041

This is really cool, Lisa! Glad to have you back. #10678371

I agree with the others. A very pleasing, well-composed image.

Softness and filter effect have my eyes crossing a little bit though. #10678376

glad you are back...how much longer will you be in China?

I love the artist feel to this . the only thing I would do is some selective saturation on the leaves to make them pop a little more. I forget what you use for your editing. #10678922

Thanks, everyone, it's good to be back. I took this photo from a boat, so it is a little out of focus. Here is the original. #10678929

Very nice composition, it would good on a large canvas #10678990

Glad to see you back Lisa!

I think the natural shot works better for me in this case. The texture seems to add to the slight motion blur. Nicely composed shot. #10680517

Hi Lisa-this is really cool! I do like your first post. Is that some sort of mosaic filter or something? It works well with the bricks and I like it a lot. #10680718

Please help me Lisa. I am seeing a tree apparently growing in a wall but others here are talking about 'textures'. Your title also has me guessing. Tree I understand but 'aswan' not so much! If it is just a typo and should have been Aswan with an upper case 'A' then I am going for the city in Egypt famous for the nearby Aswan Dams on the River Nile.
So please confirm that for my aching brain and tell me whether or not I am looking at an actual wall or some sort of Photoshop layer.
I like this simple image Lisa. #10681358

I really like the colors and the composition on this one. It is very interesting. #10682002

Peter, yes, this is Aswan-I just don't like using capital letters very much, (out of a possibly misguided continuing tribute to e.e.cummings). I used an 'oil paint' effect on this photo which is what I think is being referred to. I have 10 weeks to go in china and then back to canada! it will be very strange at first, i'm sure. #10682078

You always post such interesting shots, Lisa. When you go back to Canada, where in Canada will you be heading to? #10685513
