Inuksuit Oakville

Uploaded: April 28, 2013

Description

This was taken on the Toronto side of Lake Ontario. It is a small Inuksuit that combines its purpose of navigation with our current view of respite and calm.

It seems a message to me of how Oakville (adjacent to Toronto) has filled its landscape with the display of wealth by replacing every structure or house with a monster home.

More about Inuksuits which originated with the Inuit, Inupiat, Kalaallit, and Yupik as well as others of the Arctic at Wikipedia.
