!!!! BEWARE !!!
!!! THIS DOG USED TO BE FIERCE !!!
(But is now retired and traveling in luxury in a huge motor-home!)
Ha!

Story: I couldn't help taking this photo. It struck me so funny. We were RV'ing right next to these folks one summer and I saw the sign there, expecting to see this spry dog at some point barking at us like crazy but instead out pops this gentle old boy from the motor-home window. He even let me pet him. HeeHee...

Hi Mare! I am so happy you are the first visitor. You always set the mood! :D

I had to laugh when I saw this GOLDEN AGED dog! He was NO guard dog, let me tell you! HeeHee...And that was just fine by us because we were set up right next to them for a week!!! (And had Fangy and Pookey with us that year! I doubt if he even noticed we had cats!)

Thanks for your comments and visits that always make me smile! xo

A wonderful capture of this beautiful old dog, Sister Swanee! I don't think labradors make very good guard dogs, they are too easy to bribe with food! #10591932

Chris made a good point.Perhaps he was an undercover guard dog. As long as you behaved he was trained to let you be. BUT get out of hand and the terror would be unleashed. #10593518

Wow. You guys are giving me second thoughts about this old dog. I was leaning more towards Johns opinion but now???

I am just glad I had nothing but good intentions...and it helps to have hands that smell like chopped liver.

HA!

Thanks all!

I was just thinking that this old sweetie might not be here anymore either. I took this two summers ago.

And now Chris and Tony have lost 3 kitties in 3 months time.

I posted this before I knew they had just lost Kody. I think maybe I'd better move this image further back in my gallery. Our friends are in mourning right now. Thanks for the reminder, Wm.

Hugs of thanks, Laura :)) #10593867

Ha! Golden Retrievers are one of the best breed of dogs & are definitely not guard dogs! Cute sign to go with this precious old soul! :) #10606802

I'm pretty sure my 12-year-old grandson would bite harder than this sweet guy! #10755356

He was such a big old sweet dog. You guys would have loved him. No doubt they all traveled many many places together as a family.

Monnie, you have a biting grandson? HeeHee...(What made you think of *him*? Have you a STORY to share???) HA!

Funny!!

:D
