Another rework and resubmit thanks to Mary Robison, who's encouragement and support I would not want to be without.
Mary has a way of drawing my attention back to images I have long forgotten and letting me look at them again through her eyes.
Thank you so much, Mary.

So there he is, waiting for other bp members to get caught by his eyes and his situation, and tell you how it affects them...Laura E. Swan February 20, 2013
Mare, where would any of us be without your love and support around here? And I feel the same way about our SSSKiki and so many others that make being here so very worth it. :))))Sister, Mary did well in having you re-post this one. Look at him there, as if he is an orphan waiting for someone to come and adopt him and take him out of there. He still has his dignity but that might be all.
I often wonder if your second calling, to photography, is to work hands on with wildlife. You do have a way with them and it is a gift. Whether you are taking their photo or reading their body language or thoughts...you are connected to them deeply. Not many are.
It shows in your work and in your heart. Of which are meshed because you put your heart into your work.
