aperture 5.6, shutter 1/750 , lens 100-400 at 150 mm focal length, location Santa Rosa, Ca.,

The above statistics are for the egret image only. The star image was from Deb. I used Dr. Russell Brown's Star Trail action on the background image. The Great Egret image was taken in infrared and converted to black and white in Silver Pro Efex. Four textures from Flypaper Textures were applied to give the appearance of the egret taking on the colors of the vortex. The opacity of the bird layer was reduced to let the star trail come through on the bird's image.
