Bottoms Up
Description:
A massive overturned stump rests on the sandy beach as the lighthouse beacon flashes methodically under a sky of deepening blue. The roots of this stump are unusually well preserved, suggesting that the stump traveled down the river up-side-down, and was not rolled over and over by the strong currents or potent Pacific surf.
