Description

(Some minor cropping was done putting these photo's together. There were some unwanted distractions on the right side of the frame, which now made the dark T-shirt off center.) The original photo was taken hand held in Program Auto, using spot metering. The meter setting was a mistake from the start. As you can see, the metering was taken from the from the black T-Shirt worn by "Bryon" and caused the remainder of the frame to be extremely over exposed. In CS5 Raw, I made the following adjustments:, Exposure-2.05, Recovery 58, Fill Light 40, Brightness 80, Vibrance +15, Saturation +15. These corrections brought back all of the details in the washed out areas in the hair, clothing, structure, etc...

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 40.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300
