Description

Finalist
One of the very special touches during living history weekends at Fort Atkinson, Nebraska, is the preparation and serving of a formal dinner. Guests pay for the privilege of dining with the colonel and another officer. As far as is possible, all the food is prepared as it would have been in the 1820's and on site. This is the kitchen for the officers' mess.
