Mary and Ann, I thought this piece of information will help your understanding of India's climate just a bit : The Himalayan mountain range, home to some of the planet's highest peaks covers India all the way from North to North-East , 10 highest mountains on earth are found in the region. The Himalayan range spans 10 states of India out of her total 28 states , there is a lot of snow around these places just as there is lot of heat around the other parts during Summer.
