Description

This photo was also taken tripod mounted with cable release, using a grey cloth for metering. Additionally the photo was taken in Aperture Priority, F29, to get maximum DofF. In post processing I used Layers to better pull out the detail in the shadow areas of the Emerald, while still holding the highlight details in the snow. Due to the wind, I was unable to bracket this shot for HDR processing to hold the details. This would be a type of Solution #2.

Exif: F Number: 29, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 1/2 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 52.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300
