Description

"The Giant Justins"

A pair of 40-foot-tall cowboy boots, a sculpture by artist Bob "Daddy-O" Wade entitled 'The Giant Justins,' were installed at North Star Mall, San Antonio, Texas, on the I-410 frontage road (Exit 20). The mall promotes the sculpture, created for the Washington Project for the Arts in 1979, as the "world's largest pair of cowboy boots."

I remember trying to capture these boots from atop the garage next to them - top floor, 20 mph winds, tripod a-shakin' and me quaking in my own boots. Yours is much better... :) Ain't Christmas without whizzing by them on I-35, top speed to keep from getting creamed and capturing a blurry glimpse of them! Happy New Year to you and yours, Tex! #10483983
