Morning Light at Otter Point

Uploaded: December 23, 2012

Description

Out at the end of Otter Point, the more recently formed mudstone is gone and the older rock is exposed. Geologists surmise that this sedimentary rock was once the ocean floor, eventually brought ashore by tectonic plate movement. Whatever the case may be, walking along this jagged rock feels like walking on another planet… but a planet with cool, briny ocean winds and exploding, thundering waves. And a planet filled with wonders beyond comprehension and immense, mind-boggling natural beauty.

Quote of the Day : “I'm doing it with a rock format and the words are about people living in harmony with Mother Earth. It's very important to me - and I feel it should be for every living human on this planet.” – Jimmy Carl Black
