Flying dangerously close to the sun

Uploaded: December 12, 2012

Description

On a recent visit to New Zealand we visited a windy beach with gulls riding the wind. I took a chance and shot this gull "dangerously close to the sun" and hoped for the best. I tweaked the levels and masked some darker areas such as the beak and feet to maintain contrast.
