Description

Later in the evening (the sun didn't set until after 9:30pm) on the drive to our first hotel in the Westfjords of Iceland.
The sweeping lines of the clouds gave an excuse to stop for a bit - at times the main road (at the right) felt like the edge of a cliff!

It was interesting walking on the dirt road, with the precipitous 50' drop to the fjord; standing at the edge, if you simply leaned forward or backward, the sound of the water below changed dramatically, and all but disappeared if you took a step or two back from the edge. #10532148
