This situation was very tough in terms of balancing the focus of maples vs the background. I tried many apertures. Did you try wider ones?

Also, I think that this scene needed a cooler color balance, rather than your "Cloudy" WB. #1502895

Hi Bill:

I should have tried more apetures than what I did. I liked your much better. And yes, the WB should be changed here to reflect the mood. I played around with it in PS and it looked better. I have a couple more I can try. Thanks so much for teh feedback here.
