Zebra at Out of Africa Park in Camp Verde, AZ. This fellow did this "trick" on his own...then after being thrown a cookie by the tour guide the first time for his ability to make everyone smile with his antics....well he's no dummy.....he does it every time the tour trams come through. He's quite the character....

I'm like you, Patricia - I never met an animal I didn't like! :) This clever fellow really knows how to work an opportunity when he sees it. Wonderful capture (and a great set of teeth!!!:) #10453452Patricia A. Casey December 06, 2012
I love them all.....I really get a kick out of those that know how to work the tourists.......This place really knows how to care for their critters....I was impressed..not your typical "zoo"....Thanks Val and have terrific evening ahead! #10453751Laura E. Swan December 10, 2012

No he's not the balloon, but his cousin was there in Albuquerque (LOL LOL).....Thanks Laura.....Out of Africa is a wonderful park for large African (and some Indian) animals that need a home....if you come down to AZ one day this is a wonderful place to visit....Have a great day! #10458702Dee Langevin December 11, 2012
Great capture of this zebra Patricia! And finally someplace I've actually visited! The animals there are really neat. I went back to the hills surrounding the park one evening to catch the sunset and listened to all the noises the lions and tigers made. When the wild wolves and coyotes joined in, it made my hair stand on end!! LOL #10460784Patricia A. Casey December 11, 2012
Wow....how cool! I had two of my former buddies from work with me....one was not doing too well...so we didn't linger past the feeding of the critters at 3:00 p.m. I'd like to go back on my own one day just to take my time...maybe that time I'll do what you did to listen to all those wonderful songs of the wolves & coyotes....Neat!!! for now I'll have to be satisfied with the coyotes in our area that sing on the golf courses....that's neat too! #10460789Stephen Zacker March 05, 2013
Fun capture and story.. now I need to try that :-) #10597503Patricia A. Casey March 05, 2013
Hi Stephen.....isn't it funny how we all learn to do things....this is a great place to visit if you haven't been....Thanks for the looking!Chris Ebben April 26, 2013
Hasn't this one got the beautiful markings, I'm with you, I really like all animals, well no, not all, I'm not that fond of Ticks. They don't like me either, actually they do like me!! Too much. I could have one in my neck right now. It doesn't take animals long to know how to work the humans around them. Nice work here=^..^= #10667960Patricia A. Casey April 26, 2013
Hi Chris....yes I'm with you too....ticks...yuk...try to avoid them at all cost when hiking...nasty little buggers...then there are scorpions...don't like them much either....have never had one in the house "yet"....but I know they're out there. Snakes I can handle...actually like them...and spiders from a safe distance....LOL what our fears bring out...have a wonderful day Chris.... #10668155Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
