To Infinity and.....
Uploaded: November 27, 2012
Cosmos I was created earlier this year. This was the first time for Cosmos at Albuquerque. Owner Jerry Holmes. The balloon behind Cosmos is Oggy the Friendly Dragon. I guess he's been around awhile because Michelle Alton got a shot of him back East. It was a tender moment (LOL).....Oggy's owner is Jack Semler. This shot taken October 13th in the early morning shortly after the mass ascension.

We need something like that here! Ours was so small. Love this! #10437268Patricia A. Casey November 29, 2012
This is quite the show Tammy. Their field is one mile long. Go to http://www.balloonfiesta.com/event-info for information about the next one and this year's events photos from other photographers. I think weather may have something to do with this location....they have what's called the "Gully Winds" which creates a box for the balloons to go up from the field...rise to an certain elevation and winds switch direction to bring them back to the field. When this wind is working, they hold marksmenship contests like a ring toss and banner toss...quite amazing to see. Have a wonderful day...... #10437762Thomas E. Hinds December 05, 2012

These fellows did not fly that day....but they did stay tethered for quite some time which was nice. #10453760Nadia Paul December 10, 2012
Fantastic shapes and colours! #10458365Patricia A. Casey December 10, 2012
Thank you Nadia....I do believe there was a balloon or two from your part of the globe.... #10458708Michelle Alton December 22, 2012
You found some GREAT perspectives for shooting the immense balloons, Patricia. The dragon was never flown in the New Jersey show. He just remained tethered. Or maybe that was just on Press Day. #10474750Patricia A. Casey December 22, 2012
Thanks Michelle.....it was my first balloon event and needless to say eye candy for my camera and me.... #10474838Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
