The lady whose garden included these odd balls didn't know the plant's name. These two are each less than three inches across, and seem to be filled with air. They grow on very slender stalks, bowing in every direction whenever there's a breeze.

It looks like a "Cottonbush" (gomphocarpus) & has really unusual little flowers a bit like an orchid. A very unusal plant indeed. You'll have to go back when it flowers. Good work=^..^= #10423437Laura E. Swan November 18, 2012
