Hey Maya~
Cute! Where'd you find him? Looks like he has some beautiful colors! One thing I noticed right off was that his head is not in focus. You focused on his body which I think discourages the eye from being able to see what it naturally tries to focus on. And, if you could have gotten closer, I would have. The colors would be brighter and the viewer gets an up-close-and-personal view of who this creature is. Perhaps try a different angle too. Maybe get at his level too and see from a different point of view. I hope this is all encouraging!
Happy Shooting!

Thanks... he was taken at Arches National Park in Utah on a vacation hubby and I took this summer... this was taken just before someone came around the bend of the trail and scared him off.... unfortunately I couldn't get closer... thanks for the input! #1971278
