Love the bird silhouettes in this. Tones look good though I might lighten the shadows a touch. I think I would also crop just a bit off the right side so the partial roof is eliminated. Even a clone in that area might work or a combination of a slight crop and clone. #1492272

Or you might use the distortion tool instead, and experiment with pulling out the upper right corner more than the left. Using the distortion tool would reduce the curvature which I'm guessing is something you want to retain, and is certainly a pleasing component of this scene, but not by a lot. It would additionally help straighten the verticals at the bottom center of the frame.

Very nice capture with great tonalities and dramatic sky.

Very interesting scene Lisa. Love the birds and the sky.

As mentioned, it's obvious you want to emphisize the spherical look of this lens, so instead of distorting the image to lessen that effect, use the tool to enhance the effect.

Pull the upper left corner up untill the lines attatched to the peak of the temple are horizontal. This will also lift that entire side to better match the right. The pull the lower left corner untill the items in the lower center of the image have vertical lines that are straight.

Finally, open the shadows a bit but mask the sky so it stays the same. #10369275

A very powerful image esp. with the contrast of the birds to the sky...love that! As for the distorting and all that just give it a try...I have no idea what the guys are really talking about so I guess when you try it I'll see. lol I do agree about opening the shadows, but not in the sky. Right now I keep searching the bottom of the image for more detail in the faces and just can't get my eyes back to those awesome birds. I think with more detail I will be able to let my eye wonder more. :~) Also a 1 pixel stroke around the whole image will help it not to blend into the BP background on the top. #10369433

The detail in the cloudy sky with the addition all of those birds on top of the fisheye lens look of the photo, makes it both dramatic & appealing. I'd like to see Dale's suggestions, if you plan on editing :) #10373417

Lisa -- I like this shot. The birds do add and mirror the element of motion in this shot which isn't always easy to convey. I would only bring out some detail in the shadows and am interested in seeing this image made even more skewed. #10375529

Ok, I used a layer mask for the first time, so that's exciting (although I maybe went overboard with opening the shadows). I also tried using the distortion tool, but could only get the photo to alternate between fun house horror mirror distortions and barely changed. Practice practice practice... #10377070

I would say you did a great job. It does get easier with experience.

Just on last touch for me and that is to clone out the bit of unsupported roof on the right edge. Should be easy with the clouds there.

Yes, it does look better...I'm with Mike cloning out the unsupported bit of roof on right edge, but if you feel up to it, I really would like to see it with a little more spherical tweak as Dale suggested.
Nice job on opening the shadows :)
