Wow...Your Icelandic shots are an amazing collection. I hope you make "the BOOK!"

This looks like the dawn of life after catastrophe. It's so starkly beautiful. #1492014

Speaks of both isolation and beauty, Chris. I will not try to pronounce the title, and I congratulation you on accomplishing all those accent marks. #10367837

Hm, I think this my favorite Iceland image of yours (so far!). I'd love to hear you pronounce the title, and neat to see the infamous volcano, too! #10368201

Thank you all very much!
Michele; the pronunciations are definitely a challenge, and I certainly didn't become a pro while there.
Búðir would be sort of like "boo-dtheer" with barely a hint of the d in the 'th' sound.
Snæfellsjökull would be sort of like "sny-fells-yo-kool" That one is trickier, because the "ll" at the end of the word involves a strange, t-l kind of clicking sound that ends the word. #10368661

I have really been enjoying all your Icelandic shots, Chris - both here and on your pro gallery. They are all exquisitely beautiful. In terms of this month's offerings, this one caught my eye right away. Love the clean, stark beauty, the amazing clarity and clear, pure colors. It is hauntingly beautiful. #10384512

Thank you very much, Rona; I'm glad you're enjoying the series! (I've taken it down to Mon-Fri entries now, with weekends for other subject matter.) I love "reliving" the trip with my daily posts---and I so badly want to go back! #10384950

Thank you all very much! This little church would have been the "indoor venue" for my sister's wedding, if bad weather arose. As it turned out, weather was gorgeous for her evening beach wedding, about 300 yards from the church. #10790278
