Description

At 244 feet, the Hallgrímskirkja church tower dominates the Reykjavik skyline. The 3 openings near the top provide a fantastic observation deck;
a set of bells is also housed there. The architect's inspiration was the hexagonal basalt columns that thrust upward from the ground all around Iceland.

Your architectural eye and great sense of composition is very evident here, Chris! Love the POV, the great light...and what a magnificent building - you can really see the structure of the basalt columns that informs this design. #10384519
