Description

Canmore Alberta. This hike is right in the city. You have a choice at a fork: "easy" which follows a service road or "less easy" which isn't. There are steep steps and some scrambling and elevation gain...so I'd say Moderate not "less easy" (LOL). The destination are the Grassi Lakes named after an engineer who developed the trail....it was wonderful!!!!

Hi Tammy...thank you....I know..with my big feet & hiking boots I'm a wonder to behold on those trails...I do use hiking poles and they have saved me from more than one fall. We took the "easy" trail back down after exploring the lakes above. The temps in the morning are high 60's here so there is hope! #10345400

Thanks so much Thomas & Terry....it was a magnificent fiew....The peak is astounding....you really can't capture in photos....just a glimpse of its size. There is a trail to get to that peak...but not this time with a bum knee..who knows what the next trip will bring! Have a glorious day! #10346223
